Spectrophotometric Method Development and Validation for the Estimation of Ticagrelor in Bulk and Its Dosage Forms

Abstract

Simple, sensitive, accurate, precise, stability indicating UV spectrophotometric method have been developed for quantitative determination of ticagrelor in bulk and its dosage form. The UV spectrum was scanned between 200-400 nm and 254 nm was selected as maximum wavelength for absorption. Beer’s law was obeyed in the concentration range of 2-10?g/ml were found the method was successfully applied to the pharmaceutical dosage forms containing the above mentioned drug without any interference by excipients. Results of the analysis were validated as per ICH guidelines. This method can be used for the routine and quality control analysis of ticagrelor in raw material and pharmaceutical formulations.
